DONATION CHALLENGE! for the 50 puppies

We are sure everyone has seen the below blog. We now have a great update! A very generous person has offered to match donations up to $200. In case you are not sure how this works SSP will not receive the $200 from our wonderful donor unless we raise $200 to match the entire $200.

If you donate $10 it will become $20, $20 becomes $40 and so on....

Right now we have received $66 for the 50 puppies.

Donation challenge: $200
Received towards challenge:$200
Still available to match $0

We have some very good news :-) and some not so good news :-(. Sylvia raised all the funds she needed to hop on board the van to her rescue WOOHOO!! The 50 puppies, however, did not. :-( We were $1000 short to get all the puppies vetted and onto the van. We are stressed and devastated that we did not raise all the funds needed for all the puppies. The transporters were very nice and cut their usual fees for us by $150 but we were still $1000 short. We are sorry to say that we can not do another van, can not rescue another dog or pup until we raise the funds for the puppies who are now at their rescues.

For the first time in 63 transports SSP did not pay their bills on time. We owe the vet (thank goodness he allowed us to have an IOU) and we owe the transporters. The only reason we were allowed a "tab" is because we have ALWAYS, ALWAYS paid our bills on time and IN FULL. Because of the kindness of these people the 50 puppies, Sylvia, the OTI from Murray and the Mama dog pulled from DeKalb in Dec have all safely arrived at their rescues.

It is a sad day for SSP, knowing even though we have places for dogs to go we can not help any of them at this time. Along with a pup with cherry eye and a broken leg, a few owner surrenders (the first to be pts), these little guys need our help

We are still accepting donations to pay the bills. Please, please help us so we can help those who will be euthanized through no fault of their own. We receive requests every day to help adoptable dogs/pups/cats/kittens but until we are out of debt we have to say no to every single request, even if we know there is a spot for the pet. :-(:-(

EVERY DONATION IS 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE and EVERY DONATION IS EXTREMELY APPRECIATED
