About Saving Shelter Pets:
Saving Shelter Pets (SSP) strives to eliminate euthanasia as a method of population control for homeless companion animals, by providing no-kill alternative solutions and pro-actively addressing the problem of pet overpopulation.

NOTE: The animals pictured in this or any other message are NOT available for adoption. We do not have the resources to properly screen adoptive homes. We send our dogs and cats to pre-approved no-kill rescues in the Northeast, and these rescues will then adopt them into wonderful forever homes.

Rascal

You just gotta smile when you look at the ears on this guy!! :) Rascal came to us from a woman who became disabled, and she will have him euthanized if he does not get a rescue. We have a place for him to go, and he just needs the funds now!! He's already been neutered, so he needs just $150 to cover his vetting and transport expenses.

Total Needed: $150
Funds Raised: $150
FULLY SPONSORED!!

Sasha

Sasha is a very alert and loving dog, very energetic, who loves the companionship of both people and other dogs. Poor Sasha has been badly neglected in all of her life so far, and is seeking a new life in a home where she'll get the attention and exercise that she craves. She needs $200 for her vetting, spay surgery, and transport expenses.

Total Needed: $200
Funds Raised: $200
FULLY SPONSORED!!

Buster

What chance does a homeless 8-month old "plain brown dog" have in Georgia? Buster is eager to get out of there, and get to a rescue in the Northeast where his sweet personality will shine and his puppy playfulness will be appreciated. He's already neutered, so he needs just $150 for his vetting and transport expenses.

Total Needed: $150
Funds Raised: $105
STILL NEED: $45

Litter of 3 Black Chi Mix Puppies

These little cuties don't understand why homeless black dogs aren't better appreciated, and they know they need to get to one of SSP's awesome rescues so they'll have the opportunity to be adopted into loving families. These are Puppy Promises pups, so they each need $50 for their vetting and transport plus the all-important spay surgery for their momma and any of her canine or feline housemates.

Total Needed: $150
Funds Raised: $105
STILL NEED: $45

Litter of 6 Black Lab / Shepherd Puppies

Here's the first of two Lab/Shepherd mix litters on this transport - six sassy ladies!! This all-female litter is going to show their rescue in Connecticut the meaning of the phrase "girl power"!! Of course, they're going to need a little financial help to get started. For them, canine empowerment is as simple as a safe rescue and eventually a happy home. They'll need $50 each for their vetting and transport, to start their own little revolution. Who's with them?

Total Needed: $300
Funds Raised: $249
STILL NEED: $51

Winnie and Her 5 Puppies

Winnie and her puppies came to SSP from a temporary foster situation who cannot keep them any longer. Winnie is a good mom, and the look on her face says she's very concerned about her puppies and does not want to be taken to the shelter with them!! SSP has found a rescue to take the entire family, if we can get funding. Winnie needs $150 and her five pups each need $40 for their vetting and transport.

Total Needed: $350
Funds Raised: $280
STILL NEED: $70

Litter of 7 Multi-Colored "Really Mixed" Breed Puppies

We don't know what breed mix these fuzzy kids are, but they certainly are precious!! They look a little like teddy bears with their short noses, round heads, and tiny ears. They're from our Puppy Promises program, so they each need $50 for their vetting and transport, to get out of Georgia and on their way to a rescue. Can you help them?

Total Needed: $350
Funds Raised: $320
STILL NEED: $30

Litter of 9 Lab/Shepherd Puppies

The Lab/Shepherd puppies in this big litter are having Christmas dreams of a loving home with a big yard, a warm bed, and lots of treats and belly rubs. Can you help make that happen for them? They are also from our Puppy Promises program, so they each need $50 to cover their expenses and get on their way to live the dream!

Total Needed: $450
Funds Raised: $430
STILL NEED: $20

Litter of 7 Hound Mix Puppies

These blond sweeties have long ears and long faces too, because they know that homeless hound dogs are way too common in Georgia and they stand little chance of finding the good life there. But a rescue in New York has promised to place them in homes that appreciate the special personalities of the hound breeds. Can you help them get there? $50 each covers their vetting and transport expenses.

Total Needed: $350
Funds Raised: $350
FULLY SPONSORED!!

Litter of 2 Rat Terrier Mix Puppies

This pair of tiny babies from our Puppy Promises program doesn't have much on their Christmas list - just a little help with their vetting and transport expenses, and the promise of a safe rescue!! SSP has found them a place to go, and so now they just need some funds. Please consider making a donation to help make their holidays complete - $50 each is all they need for vetting and transport.

Total Needed: $100
Funds Raised: $75
STILL NEED: $25

Litter of 2 Lab Mix Puppies

Since these are Lab puppies, we bet they've been more naughty than nice - but they are so darned cute, we want to help them out anyway!! A rescue in New Jersey is committed to take them, and now they're hoping that Santa (or if not him, maybe our SSP supporters) will overlook their "bad puppy" behavior and donate the funds to get them there. They each need $50 - can you help?

Total Needed: $100
Funds Raised: $100
FULLY SPONSORED!!
